7-11+2 Campaign

Prmote mutual support
on July 13 DSE Exam Results Release Day

July 2016

Hong Kong secondary school students face a lonely, high-pressure environment, with a university admission rate of only 18%. To support these 70,000 students when their DSE Exam results were released on July 13th, 7-Eleven launched the 7-11+2 Campaign. Understanding that companionship can significantly reduce stress, 7-Eleven offered a special promotion: any two students visiting a store together received a free Slurpee or Gulp each. This simple gesture encouraged students to support one another, providing a moment of relief and connection. The campaign's message, "It’s cool. I’m here," emphasized mutual support and solidarity during a challenging time, fostering a sense of community among students.

The campaign achieved outstanding results, with high community participation and widespread support for DSE students on that day. Various media outlets reported on the initiative, highlighting its positive impact and the overwhelming response from the community. This widespread coverage helped further promote the campaign's message of solidarity and support, making a meaningful difference for many students.
